More about CREDIT

CREDIT has an established international reputation in the design and evaluation of effective learning environments. As a multidisciplinary research centre, we bring together 25 researchers from cognitive science, artificial intelligence, computer science, psychology, education and human-computer interaction (HCI).

CREDIT helped to establish the Mixed Reality Laboratory (MRL), at Nottingham. The MRL is a purpose-designed research facility for studying mixed reality - new technologies that merge the physical and digital worlds. Our partners include members of the Communications Research group in Computer Science, and the VIrtual Reality Applications Research Team in Engineering. Members of the Centre collaborate with colleagues from various schools in the University, including Education, Computer Science, Engineering, and Psychology.

The Centre was established in 1992 with core funding from the Economic and Social Research Council. CREDIT has also attracted funding from other UK research councils, charitable organisations, governmental sources, the European Union and industry. In addition to research, our expertise has been used in an advisory capacity for issues surrounding ICT in education and training.
